Catalan singer Rigoberta Bandini, whose real name is Paula Ribó, said she is expecting her second child during a concert in Madrid on Thursday, 4 June 2026. She made the announcement while performing as part of her Summer Tour 2026 at the Noches de Botánico festival.
The news came after she performed Canciones de amor a ti. According to reports, she told the crowd, “A moment in the show has arrived where I didn’t know if I would say it or not, but I have to say that I am not alone doing this show,” while gently touching her stomach.
Fans responded with applause and a standing ovation. Bandini said it was “very difficult not to tell you, especially at such a special and close concert.” She added, “I feel like you are a bit of my Madrid family, and because I’m suffocating.” After the reveal, she continued the show and joked, “Having said that, now more than ever tell me I’m beautiful, that I’m doing well...”, before moving into her next song, Kaiman.
Paula Ribó and her partner Esteban Navarro have been together for seven years. Their first child, Nico, was born in 2020, and the couple married in 2023.
Bandini first gained wider recognition through songs released on YouTube and Spotify. Her profile rose further during the first edition of Benidorm Fest in 2021, when she competed to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with Ay mamá and finished second. In 2024, she won a Goya Award for Best Original Song for Yo solo quiero amor from the film Te estoy amando locamente.
Beyond music, Ribó has acted in films and television series including Cites and Quién eres. She has also worked extensively as a voice actress, with credits including Harry Potter, Frozen, Trolls, Spirited Away, Zootropolis, Brave, The Incredibles and Lilo & Stitch. She is scheduled to perform two more concerts in Madrid on 5 and 6 June as part of the same tour.
