Reus will host the 16th Reus Viu el Vi fair from 5 to 7 June, with wines and vermouths from eight Denominations of Origin (DOs). The event will bring together 20 wineries and 10 vermouth brands, with nearly 150 selections available for tasting.
The fair is organised by the Reus Chamber of Commerce, with support from Reus City Council and Reus Promoció. It will also include a gastronomic area with local food businesses, and this year both the wineries and the food stalls will operate in morning and afternoon sessions.
To manage capacity, visitors must buy a pack, with or without a tasting glass, for a specific time slot. Packs are required for entry, except for minors, who must be accompanied by an adult. Each adult may accompany up to two minors. Tickets will be available in advance through the official website, reusviuelvi.cat, and later at the fair ticket booths, subject to availability.
Payments for packs and tastings inside the fairgrounds must be made by card. Cash will only be accepted at the gastronomic stalls for direct sales. The 7th Reus Vermouth Showcase will run on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, from 12pm to 2.30pm, with eight local vermouth brands, Cori, Fot-li, Iris, Miró, Olave, Or del Camp, Rofes and Yzaguirre, plus Dos Déus Vermouth and Padró i Família.
The fair will open on Friday, 5 June at 6pm, with Noemí Llauradó, president of the Tarragona Provincial Council, and a performance by the Xiquets de Reus castellers. Organisers say the aim is to promote the region’s wines, vermouths and wider agri-food sector, while also making the event more family-friendly and better connected with local restaurants.
