Alt Empordà is set to host the 19th edition of the Portalblau Festival, with 29 cultural activities scheduled from May to October across the Girona area.

The programme brings together music, performing arts and discussion events, with organisers aiming to offer a broad cultural calendar for residents and visitors over the spring, summer and early autumn months.

According to Diari de Girona, the festival combines different artistic disciplines and is intended to be a meeting point for culture and ideas in Alt Empordà.

The festival’s long run, from May through October, gives audiences more chances to attend events at different times of year. That format also helps spread activity across the region rather than concentrating it into a single weekend.
