Pirineu Accommodation Sees High Demand
Hotels across the Pirineu region recorded an occupancy rate between 90% and 95% during the Diada holiday long weekend, according to the Patronat de Turisme de la Diputació de Lleida. Several establishments reported being fully booked. Accommodation across the wider Lleida province, including hotels, rural tourist homes and campsites, averaged more than 80% occupancy from Friday to Sunday. In contrast, hotels in the Terres de Lleida area saw lower uptake, reaching around 40%.

Rural Stays and Campsites
Rural tourist homes achieved an 80% occupancy rate across the region. At campsites, bungalows were 85% occupied, while tent pitches reached 35%, slightly higher than the 30% initially forecast due to improved weather conditions.
Active Tourism and River Activities
Water-based activities on the Noguera Pallaresa river also performed well, with bookings for rafting and other adventure sports reaching 80%. This season marks the 40th anniversary of commercial rafting descents on the river. Juan Antonio Serrano, vice-president of the Lleida Tourism Board, confirmed that active tourism activity will continue at a high level for another month, particularly on weekends. Serrano stated: "We have met the forecasts we made at the start of the long weekend and are very satisfied with the results, which confirm that our offering in nature, active tourism, culture and gastronomy attracts visitors all year round."
