In Barcelona, former FC Barcelona player and manager Pep Guardiola and Cristina Serra have separated after more than three decades together, according to reports.
The couple met in Barcelona when Guardiola was 23 and Serra was 20. At the time, Serra worked for the fashion brand Antonio Miró.
Serra’s family owns Serra Claret, a well-known clothing shop in Barcelona. Guardiola was already a prominent player for FC Barcelona when they first met.
Those who knew them at the time described their first connection as immediate. They remained together for more than 30 years before deciding to go their separate ways.
