Palamós drew thousands this weekend as the Terra de Mar festival filled the port with maritime heritage events, boat trips and cultural activities.
The Costa Brava town hosted visitors who could sail along the coast, tour historic and public interest vessels, and take part in gastronomic and cultural programmes.
Among the vessels open to the public were the Juan Sebastián Elcano warship and the Delfín submarine, according to local reports. The festival also included fishing workshops and demonstrations of traditional seafood cooking.
Visitors could also browse a market of local food and artisan products, adding a commercial and community element to the event. The festival underlined Palamós's maritime identity and its link to the wider Costa Brava seafaring tradition.
