In Lloret de Mar, environmental groups SOS Costa Brava and SOS Lloret have lodged objections to a proposed urban agreement between the town council and Flinder Data SL over the Can Juncadella coastal path, between Cala Morisca and Cala Canyelles.
The groups say the agreement is contrary to law because it does not guarantee immediate compliance with firm court rulings that recognise the path as public and require access to be restored. They argue the deal should not be used to delay the reopening of a route that has been closed for more than 17 years.
The dispute centres on those earlier judicial decisions, which the groups say have already confirmed the public nature of the path. In their view, the new agreement risks extending a closure that should already have ended.
SOS Costa Brava and SOS Lloret are calling for any new arrangement to include clear and immediate steps to reopen the coastal path for public use. They say the priority should be compliance with the rulings, not a further postponement.
