The Estació Nàutica Costa Daurada i Terres de l’Ebre marked its 25th anniversary at an institutional event at Ecoespai in Miami Platja on Friday 2 October. For tourism businesses and local authorities across seven coastal municipalities, the association’s Nàutic Parc brand provides a joint way to market sea-based activities and attract visitors beyond the peak summer months.

Revista Cambrils reported that Noemí Llauradó, president of the Diputació de Tarragona provincial authority; Lucía López Cerdán, the Generalitat’s representative in Tarragona; Mont-roig del Camp mayor Fran Morancho López; and association president Quim Cristià Oliva attended the event.

Those present recognised former presidents, the association’s first board members, early member businesses and former managers. Jordi Morán, a member of its governing council and one of the project’s promoters, received a posthumous mention.

The mayors of Deltebre and l’Ametlla de Mar were unable to attend because of heavy rain in the Terres de l’Ebre, according to the report.

A 100-kilometre partnership across seven towns

The association was formed in Cambrils in April 2001 by the councils of Salou, Cambrils and Mont-roig del Camp. It was created under a Spanish state tourism model for destinations specialising in nautical tourism and was the third such station recognised in Spain, after l’Estartit–Illes Medes and Mar Menor in Murcia.

Its current area covers about 100 kilometres of coastline across:

  • Salou
  • Cambrils
  • Mont-roig del Camp and Miami Platja
  • Vandellòs i l’Hospitalet de l’Infant
  • l’Ametlla de Mar
  • l’Ampolla
  • Deltebre

The partnership links the Costa Daurada and Terres de l’Ebre tourism brands. Its commercial arm, Nàutic Parc, combines traditional nautical activities with wider outdoor, nature and wellbeing experiences, as well as programmes for business and group visits.

Bookings rose 30% in the previous year

DiariTots21 reported in September that Nàutic Parc had increased its booking volume by 30% in the preceding year. It also said the number of customers had risen by 2,064% since 2005, and that bookings pointed to another record year in 2026.

The main Nàutic Parc season runs from early May until the end of October. Offers for companies and groups continue outside that period, leaving the organisation active for close to nine months of the year.

The association said it is working on the future development of Nàutic Parc and the experiences it will offer in coming years.
