Pre-registration for the 2026-2027 academic year at the Diputació's music schools in Reus, Tarragona, and Tortosa opened on 9 April. Interested students can apply online via the centres' websites or in person by appointment, with a deadline of 11 May.
The three Diputació music schools aim to provide quality musical education that allows students to enjoy music from the very first day. Programmes are designed for children aged five and older, introducing them to music through play and practical activities. The schools promote creativity, sensitivity, and personal development from a young age.
Learning starts in group settings. Once instrumental practice begins, musical education continues through both individual and collective classes. The educational offerings at all three schools consider the psycho-educational development of children. After completing the elementary level, students can continue with professional music studies at the same centre.
Programmes and Professional Studies
The current pre-registration period, which began on Thursday, 9 April, covers various programmes for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. These include Initiation, Music 1 through 6, the Suzuki classroom, and other programmes such as Singing, Instrument, and Workshops. Availability for specific courses should be confirmed directly with the centres.
Students at the Diputació's music schools gain exposure to music, begin instrumental training, and prepare for entry into professional conservatory studies, which lead to official qualifications. All three Diputació centres offer the Professional Grade. Admission to this level requires passing an entrance exam regulated by the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Further information about the music education centres, pre-registration procedures, and the training provided is available on each centre's website.
