The Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia's regional police, are seeking two men after a homeless man was allegedly attacked and robbed of his mobile phone in Carrer de la Unió, in central Tarragona, at about 2.45am on Wednesday 29 July. El Caso reported that the suspects were two Maghrebi men, who fled before police patrols arrived.
The victim was not injured and did not require hospital treatment, according to El Caso. For people sleeping rough in central Tarragona, the case means the alleged assailants have not yet been identified or arrested.
Mossos investigate robbery with violence and intimidation
Mossos confirmed that they are treating the incident as robbery with violence and intimidation. The Tarragona police station's Investigation Unit has taken charge of the inquiry.
