In Vilanova i la Geltrú, Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating the death of a person whose body was found on Far beach on Friday morning.
Police received an alert at around 8am after several local residents found the body on the sand. Officers then secured the area while investigators began their work.
The Criminal Investigation Division is handling the case. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, and further details are expected as the investigation continues.
The beach was cordoned off for several hours. Local residents reported shock at the discovery, according to reports.
