Nearly 400 people took part in a healthy walk in Mollerussa on 9 April 2026, organised by the Mollerussa City Council's Sports Department and the Pla d'Urgell Primary Care Team. The event, part of the Sant Isidori Festivities, commemorated World Physical Activity Day.

The activity started at the municipal park and included students from local schools, individuals, and representatives from local organisations. Anna Carné, the Health Councillor, also participated. The semi-urban route covered approximately four kilometres, leading participants to the first bridge of the canal's bank before returning to the starting point.

After the walk, a healthy refreshment was provided, thanks to the collaboration of the Pla d'Urgell-CAP Mollerussa Basic Health Area and the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Lleida. The day also featured a group choreography session and stretching exercises to aid recovery, led by the Pla d'Urgell Sports Council. Before the walk, participants completed warm-up exercises directed by the Kairos Physiotherapy Centre.

Promoting Daily Activity

Under the slogan "More movement, more life", the initiative aims to encourage the inclusion of physical activity in daily routines. Officials said this is a key tool for improving health and well-being.
