Mollerussa, in the Lleida region, hosted a basketball coaching clinic on Saturday morning, 20 April 2026. The event, part of the city's 'Catalan Basketball City 2026' programme, brought together around 50 coaches for training sessions.

The clinic took place at the Mollerussa sports hall. It was organised by the Lleida Territorial Representation and the Technical Committee of the Catalan Basketball Federation. The Mollerussa City Council and the CB Pujol Mollerussa Basketball Club also collaborated.

Marc Díaz, coach of CB Mollerussa, started the day with a presentation on "Building defence from the offensive rebound". Following this, Paco Redondo, an assistant coach for the Spanish national basketball team, discussed "Situations and trends in blocked exit play". Redondo provided practical tools and ideas for game development.

This training session also received support from the Catalan Basketball Coaches Association. It forms part of a series of activities designed to strengthen Mollerussa's role as a key centre for Catalan basketball throughout 2026. To mark the occasion, Mollerussa's mayor, Marc Solsona, presented commemorative jerseys to both Díaz and Redondo.
