GIRONA, Catalonia: Lithuanian centre Martinas Geben will continue with Bàsquet Girona, with an official announcement expected soon. The news was hinted at during the team’s final home game of the season at Fontajau.
After the match, Geben joined the farewell speeches to fans and spoke after Moncho Fernández and Sergi Martínez. He ended his message with a clear line: “We will see each other next year.”
That remark has now been confirmed, with Geben set to be the next player to renew his contract with the Girona club. He is one of the team’s captains.
His stay gives Bàsquet Girona continuity as it prepares for next season. Geben’s role as a key player and captain is expected to remain important for the squad.
