A motorcyclist died on Saturday morning after a crash on the C-55 in Manresa, in central Catalonia. The incident happened shortly before 10am, according to local reports.
The motorcycle was travelling towards Manresa when it left the road. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Emergency services attended the scene and tried to resuscitate the rider. The motorcyclist was then taken to Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Manresa in a critical condition, where they later died.
Several units from the Mossos d'Esquadra were sent to the scene. The Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques, Catalonia's emergency medical service, also sent an ambulance and a medical helicopter to help.
