Seafood Showcase in the Heart of Figueres
The OPP-96 Pescadors del Cap de Creus fishing organisation will bring fresh, locally caught seafood to the Fòrum Gastronòmic Ciutat de Figueres, taking place from 2 to 4 October 2026 on the city's Rambla. Visitors will be able to sample a variety of tapas made with fish from the Cap de Creus coast, prepared by the team from El Molí de l'Escala restaurant. The event marks a collaboration between the third edition of the Fòrum Gastronòmic Ciutat and the 40th Mostra del Vi de l'Empordà, merging wine and gastronomy into a single celebration of local produce. The Rambla will be transformed into a major enogastronomic space, open from 10:00 to 23:00 across the weekend.
Live Cooking and Industry Insight
A key event will take place on Saturday 3 October at 19:00, featuring a talk and live cooking demonstration. Antoni Abad, president of OPP-96, will speak about the organisation’s work promoting sustainable local fishing and defending the future of the sector. This will be followed by a live cookery session led by chef Jordi Jacas from El Molí de l'Escala, who will prepare a traditional bullabessa using fish from the Cap de Creus coast. The session will be moderated by Àgata Albero, a gastronomic communicator from Inspira Gastronomia. The aim is to connect consumers not only with the quality and versatility of local fish but also with the people and traditions behind it.

Supporting Local Producers
