Lloret de Mar will receive a mobile citizen service office, allowing residents to complete various Generalitat procedures without needing to travel. The service starts on Friday, 8 May, at 9am on Carrer Mestres, at the corner of Avinguda de Vidreres.
The mobile office will offer support for online procedures, with citizens signing documents assisted by an agent. Services include general information, help with online forms, obtaining the idCAT Mòbil, and applying for or renewing large family or single-parent titles. Residents can also review dependency or disability status, request telecare services, and manage appointments for other care channels.
Following the initial visit on 8 May, the mobile office will return to Lloret de Mar on 5 June, 3 July, 31 July, 25 September, 23 October, 20 November, and 18 December. All visits will take place in the mornings, from 9am to 11am.
Expanding Access Across Catalonia
These mobile offices will serve 200 municipalities across Catalonia, covering over 600,000 people. Five routes have been established to ensure balanced coverage throughout the region. Lloret de Mar is part of the north-east route, which includes municipalities in Ripollès, Osona, Maresme, Vallès Oriental, Alt Empordà, Selva, Baix Empordà, and Garrotxa. Other towns in La Selva participating in the programme are Breda, Osor, and Sant Hilari Sacalm.
Each of the five routes will use a van accessible for people with reduced mobility. The interior will accommodate two people for consultations, with a separate self-service area. An exterior waiting area will feature an awning and seating.
Mobile OACs will visit each municipality approximately once a month, with each visit lasting about two hours in the mornings. The full calendar, which may have occasional changes, is available on the gen-cat/oacmobil website or by calling 012.
Mayor Welcomes Initiative
Lloret's Mayor, Adrià Lamelas, praised the initiative. He stated that the municipality chose to participate so residents could receive direct attention from the Generalitat, avoiding travel and overcoming technological barriers.
The Catalan government has invested €2.43 million in this service for 2026 and 2027.
