Lleida's city council, the Paeria, has confirmed two key locations for public viewing of the total solar eclipse on 12 August, where the phenomenon will be visible for over 20 seconds. The designated spots are the Turó de la Seu Vella and Les Mangraners, according to officials.

The Turó de la Seu Vella site will accommodate 1,500 people, while Les Mangraners is expected to host up to 12,000 visitors. Combined, the two locations can welcome more than 3,000 people, according to the Paeria.

Access to both viewing areas will require a free ticket, which can be reserved via the Paeria de Lleida website. Each ticket includes certified glasses for safe viewing. The events will also feature music, entertainment, services, drinks, and food.

Mobility Plans for Eclipse Viewers

Lleida's hotels anticipate full occupancy for the date of the eclipse. To manage the expected influx of visitors, a special mobility plan will be implemented. This includes increased frequency and capacity for the L7 urban bus line and shuttle buses from various city points to the observation sites, officials said.
