Lleida police arrested a 23-year-old man on Sunday morning after he was allegedly caught making several payments with a bank card that was not his, according to the Guàrdia Urbana.
The arrest took place at 3.08am on Carrer Cavallers. Police said the card’s owner had reported it as lost or stolen, and the case is being treated as fraud.
The arrest followed an investigation into transactions made at different establishments using the compromised card. The Guàrdia Urbana has not released further details about the shops involved or the value of the payments.
In a separate weekend update, local police also reported six people for possession of bladed weapons. The weapons were seized in different parts of the city, including Avinguda Miquel Batllori and Carrer Sant Carles, with three seizures on Carrer Manuel Florensa.
