In Llardecans, in the Segrià area of Lleida province, hundreds of people gathered for an unauthorised rave, the third such event in the municipality since 2024.

The gathering started overnight. Dozens of cars, motorhomes, lorries and a coach were parked near the Arc d’Adà, with a stage set up for the event.

Mayor Xavier Mor told reporters that organisers arrive at night and are found in the morning. He said they do not ask for permission for these clandestine parties. Mor also said last year’s event coincided with Lleida’s Aplec del Caragol festival and drew between 400 and 600 attendees.

Despite the lack of permits, the local council says it is not concerned. Mor said the events do not cause disturbances and that participants clean up after themselves, leaving no litter behind, not even a cigarette butt.

Catalan police, the Mossos d’Esquadra, were informed of the celebration on the morning of 23 May 2026. No immediate intervention has been indicated.
