The Limfelleida Association recently organised a charity fashion show at Seu Vella in Lleida, aiming to raise public awareness of lymphoedema and lipoedema.

The event, held on Saturday, sought to highlight these often "invisible diseases" and advocate for increased medical research into their causes, diagnosis, and treatment, according to the association. Lymphoedema is a chronic condition causing swelling, typically in the limbs, while lipoedema is characterised by an abnormal accumulation of fat, primarily in the legs and arms.

The Lleida-based organisation works to provide essential information and expert advice, striving "to empower people on their path to well-being." It also offers various self-care resources and support networks to individuals affected by these conditions.

Advocating for Research and Support

This initiative by the Limfelleida Association underscores the ongoing efforts by patient groups across Catalonia to bring attention to under-recognised conditions. Such events are vital in fostering public understanding and pushing for greater medical understanding and support from healthcare providers and policymakers.
