The Les Juntes cooperative in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, has been awarded the bronze medal at the World Habitat Awards 2026 for its dedicated work in providing social housing.
The cooperative was recognised for its efforts in recovering homes for families facing vulnerability, offering a safe haven. "Many people come to live here who are not wanted elsewhere due to racism or aporophobia," a representative from Les Juntes stated, highlighting the critical need for their services.
