L'Escala will host a blue fish showcooking event on 15 June, organised by Diari de Girona and Prensa Ibérica. The culinary demonstration will take place at the Maram space in L'Escala port.
The event will feature Stefano Delli Carri, chef at Clarete Club de Vins restaurant in L'Escala. Alejandra Sampson, wine tourism manager and sommelier for Clos de Basella winery in Siurana d'Empordà, will provide the wine pairings.
The showcooking is set to highlight the versatility and flavour of blue fish, a staple in Mediterranean cuisine. It will also give attendees a chance to see professional cooking techniques and learn more about local produce.
The collaboration brings together a local chef and a regional sommelier, reflecting the food culture of the Empordà area. It is part of a wider series of culinary promotions by Diari de Girona aimed at supporting local businesses and regional specialities.
