In Lleida province, 24 municipalities across the Noguera, Segarra, Segrià and Urgell regions face a very high wildfire risk this Saturday, according to Rural Agents. The alert has led to Alpha Plan Level 3 being activated in the affected areas, with residents urged to take extra care during outdoor activities.
Firefighters from the Generalitat have already responded to two uncontrolled fires this Saturday afternoon. One was in Barberà de la Conca, in Conca de Barberà, and the other in Tremp, in Pallars Jussà. In both cases, the fires started from uncontrolled burning of vegetation.
The fire in Barberà de la Conca affected about 0.5 hectares, while the Tremp fire covered around 500 square metres. Officials said both incidents are now under control.
Fire crews also responded to a small fire near the A-14 road in Alguaire around 1pm, after a large column of smoke was seen. The incident was dealt with by firefighters.
Authorities continue to ask people to follow safety guidance and avoid actions that could start new fires. The Alpha Plan Level 3 activation restricts certain activities and increases surveillance in the affected zones.
