Lloret de Mar hosted the Girona Provincial Council Tourist Board’s 20th G! Awards on Thursday evening, with honours going to tourism businesses, a food association and journalists linked to Girona.
According to the board, the recipients included Camping Las Dunas in Sant Pere Pescador and Hostal La Gavina in S'Agaró. The Pyrenean Cuisine Association of Cerdanya and Josep Capellà i Hereu, honoured posthumously, were also recognised.
The board said the awards are part of its work to recognise quality and promote Girona’s tourism offer. That matters across the Costa Brava, the inland counties and the Pyrenees, because the awards help set a public benchmark for the sector.
In the communication categories, the board also singled out coverage of Girona in Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and Catalonia. The recognised pieces appeared in Brigitte, T magazine, Financial Times and Ara.
