Residents in Girona’s Palau neighbourhood say there are ongoing problems with garden waste collection in some parts of the area. According to the president of the Residents’ Association, the issue affects isolated streets where this type of waste is sometimes not collected.

The association says the situation is causing concern among local people, who want a more reliable service to help keep the neighbourhood clean and hygienic. They are asking Girona City Council to act quickly and fix the gaps in collection.

The residents say the problem is most noticeable in more remote parts of Palau, where garden waste can build up if collections are missed. They warn that this can leave the area looking untidy and may create hygiene problems for nearby homes.

At the time of writing, local officials had not publicly commented on the complaints. The Residents’ Association says it hopes for a prompt response from the council so regular collection can be restored across the neighbourhood.
