Girona, Catalonia, firefighters responded on Monday morning to a gas leak at a building on Carrer de la Rutlla in the city’s Devesa neighbourhood.
The alert was received at 10.30am, according to officials. A single fire crew was sent to the scene and confirmed that the leak came from demolition work at a commercial premises.
Firefighters ventilated the affected area to make it safe. Authorities said no injuries were reported.
Municipal Police and Guàrdia Urbana officers also attended the incident, helping to manage traffic and keep the area under control while emergency crews worked.
