In Girona, a driver was injured early on Sunday morning, 7 June 2026, after a car collided with a lamppost on Avinguda Josep Tarradellas.
The alarm was raised at 1.12am. Three units from the Generalitat Fire Brigade responded and found the lamppost visibly bent from the impact, according to officials.
The Medical Emergency System, SEM, treated the male driver and took him for further medical attention. Mossos d'Esquadra officers were also present at the scene.
The collision caused significant damage to the lamppost, and firefighters worked to secure the area. Authorities have not released details on the cause of the crash.
