Girona has hosted a participatory art project calling attention to the right to work for people with disabilities and mental health conditions. Led by Fundació TRESC, the initiative took place in Plaça Miquel Santaló.

The project was developed with the Efecte Mosquit cooperative as part of its La Mosquitera programme. It invited the public to add to a collective artwork focused on job inclusion, open participation and equal opportunities.

Fundació TRESC says its work supports people with disabilities and mental health issues in finding meaningful employment. In this case, the artwork was used as a public statement about the importance of fair access to work.

The collaboration with Efecte Mosquit placed the project in a community setting, with local residents directly involved in the piece. That approach was intended to build awareness of employment rights and the value of inclusive workplaces.

Organisers hope the artwork will keep the issue in public view and encourage more discussion about fair employment practices. For more local coverage, see our news page.
