Reus is at the centre of fresh plans to strengthen Antoni Gaudí’s link with his hometown after a meeting in Rome on 17 February 2025.

The gathering took place at the Les Termes del Coliseu restaurant and brought together the promoting group with Reverend Armand Puig, a native of La Selva del Camp. Puig is president of the Holy See’s Agency for the Evaluation and Promotion of Quality in Ecclesiastical Universities and Faculties worldwide, and is also regarded as a leading scholar on Gaudí’s life and work.

Representatives of the Gresol Foundation also attended. They were president Emili Correig, honorary president Antoni Pont, secretary Jordi Cervera and general director Robert Moragues.

The meeting was described as an initial step towards future initiatives aimed at honouring Gaudí’s connection to Reus. No further details of the plans were given.
