Maçanet de la Selva is set to play a bigger role in Frit Ravich’s growth plans, after the snack food company presented a new production centre as part of its strategic roadmap. The announcement came during a visit by Spain’s Minister for Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, to the company’s site in Girona province last Friday.

The meeting focused on the challenges and opportunities facing the food industry. Frit Ravich said the new production centre will be built next to its existing facility in Maçanet de la Selva, with the aim of strengthening industrial capacity and improving competitiveness.

During the visit, Hereu also toured the company’s central offices and logistics centre. Frit Ravich said this network supports distribution across national and international markets, and forms part of its wider operating model.

The company also used the visit to restate its commitment to a sustainable growth model. It said the strategic plan presented to the minister will guide its development in the coming years, alongside the planned expansion of production.
