In L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, Baix Camp, a 31-year-old French tourist was detained on 20 May after a five-hour search ended on El Torn beach. Police said she was disoriented when officers found her.

The woman had been staying in a rented tourist apartment and had gone out in the morning with her dog. When she did not return, and the dog came back alone, her companions alerted emergency services.

The search covered the coastal area by land, sea and air. It involved the Guardia Civil, Mossos d'Esquadra, Salvamento Marítimo and the Local Police of Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet.

Around 9 pm, search teams located her on the beach. According to the sources cited in the original report, she was in good health, although disoriented.

During the intervention, Mossos d'Esquadra officers found three packets of cocaine among her belongings, with a total weight of 9.4 grams. She was arrested for an offence against public health.
