El Prat de Llobregat is hosting Espigoladors Foundation’s Espigolar per transformar exhibition at the Municipal Market, bringing the food waste campaign back to a municipality that is central to the organisation’s work. The foundation says the town is home to its production centre and the social integration company, es im-perfect®.

The exhibition looks at food losses in agricultural fields through a critical and emotional lens. It is open to the public until 1 July 2026, according to the foundation.

First shown in September 2025, the exhibition has already travelled to Barcelona’s Palau Robert, Girona and Reus. Espigoladors says it has drawn more than 12,000 visitors and included nearly 60 awareness activities.

Curated by Virginia Angulo, the display uses visual and artistic storytelling, with work from professionals including local documentary photographer Jordi Flores. Visitors can also take part in parallel activities and guided tours, with details available on the Espigoladors website.

The El Prat stop underlines the foundation’s local base in the Barcelona area and adds another public venue for its message on food waste. Readers can also follow more local coverage on our news page.
