Four Luxury Vehicles Stolen at Airport
Five people broke into Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport in the early hours of Sunday, 13 September 2026, and stole four high-end cars, according to ElCaso.com. The stolen vehicles included a Range Rover, a BMW 318, a BMW X4, and a Mercedes GLC 300. The incident marks a rare targeting of the airport by organised ram-raiding groups, which typically steal vehicles from urban or suburban areas.
Ram-Raid at Mataró Parc Shopping Centre
Around 6:30 AM, two of the stolen vehicles, the Range Rover and the BMW 318, were driven into the entrance of a store at Mataró Parc, the main shopping centre in Mataró, capital of the Maresme region. The cars smashed through the shop's door before the suspects fled the scene. The Mossos d'Esquadra, Catalonia’s regional police, recovered the two damaged vehicles at the site. The BMW X4 and the Mercedes GLC 300 remain unaccounted for.
Investigation Underway
Agents from the Divisió d'Investigació Criminal (DIC), the criminal investigation division of the Mossos d'Esquadra, have opened an inquiry into the aggravated robbery. They are working to identify, locate and arrest the five suspects. Forensic evidence is being collected from the abandoned vehicles to determine the identities of those involved and their possible hideouts.
The agents are analysing the two recovered vehicles in search of clues that could clarify who the suspects are and where they might be hiding.
No arrests have been made so far in connection with the crimes.
