Figueres travel agency Viatges Viñolas will host a free talk on Thursday, 18 June, about Yunnan, a distinctive and lesser-known region of China. The event starts at 6pm at the agency’s offices on Carrer Rutlla, 23-25, and is open to the public, although places are limited.
The talk will be led by Edith López García, who has lived in the south-western Chinese region for years. She will introduce Yunnan’s main attractions and give attendees a closer look at a destination that appeals to travellers looking for cultural and scenic trips beyond the usual routes.
Yunnan is known for its mountain landscapes, its many ethnic minorities with centuries-old cultures, and a gastronomy and way of life that differ from other parts of China. The session is intended to give travellers a clearer picture of the region’s character and what makes it stand out.
