Figueres, in northern Catalonia, has started its annual Fires i Festes de la Santa Creu, running from Friday 24 April to Sunday 3 May 2026. This year's programme features over 150 activities, according to local officials.
The festival combines concerts, popular culture events, traditional fairs, and family activities. It also includes exhibitions and sports. A highly anticipated return is the Castell de Focs, a fireworks display at Sant Ferran Castle, which has not taken place for nine years.
