Figueres City Council will open a new green parking zone on Monday, 9 June 2026, near the Talaia building and Sants Celi i Rústic street, close to the Galatea Tower in Figueres.
The measure was requested by local residents and is meant to make parking easier for people living in the area. The council also says it will help create vehicle rotation and stop long-term stays in spaces that were previously free to use.
The new zone responds to concerns from the community about parking availability. Officials said the change should help manage traffic flow and give residents better access to parking close to their homes in the city centre.
Residents will need to display the correct permits to use the green zone. The council expects the change to reduce congestion and improve parking conditions for locals in central Figueres.
