Barcelona was the setting for a surprise appearance by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who attended the Primavera Sound festival with his wife, according to Spanish newspaper Heraldo.es.

The visit was not publicly announced beforehand. Sánchez joined festival-goers in the Catalan capital for the music event, which is held annually in Barcelona and draws thousands of visitors and artists from around the world.
