Traffic across the Vallès area, north of Barcelona, was heavily disrupted on 13 June 2026 after the Formula 1 Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and a separate crash on the C-58, according to the Catalan Traffic Service.

At 12:55pm, the C-33 had 4.5 kilometres of congestion between Llagosta and Montcada i Reixac, heading north towards Granollers, following an accident. The C-35 also saw delays, with 2 kilometres of queues at Granollers heading west and another 2 kilometres between Granollers and Parets del Vallès heading east. Southbound on the C-33, there was a 1.5-kilometre queue between Barcelona and Montcada i Reixac.

A separate accident on the C-58 in Montcada i Reixac led to the closure of two lanes, creating a 3.5-kilometre tailback heading north towards Sabadell. The incident also caused 3 kilometres of queues in the opposite direction, from Barcelona to Montcada i Reixac, from the Trinitat junction.

The delays spread into other roads in the Barcelona metropolitan area. The Ronda Litoral (B-10) had 2.5 kilometres of congestion from Santa Coloma de Gramenet heading north, with another 3 kilometres on the B-10 towards the Llobregat junction. The B-20 (Pota Nord) also saw 2 kilometres of queues in Santa Coloma de Gramenet heading south, and another 2 kilometres between Montgat and Tiana heading north.

Other affected routes included the C-32, with 4 kilometres of queues between Mataró and Cabrera de Mar heading north, and 2 kilometres at Sant Boi de Llobregat towards Sitges. The C-60 had 2 kilometres of delays at Argentona towards Mataró, the C-31 saw a 3-kilometre queue between Cubelles and Vilanova i la Geltrú towards Tarragona, and the A-2 had 1 kilometre of congestion between Cornellà de Llobregat and Sant Joan Despí towards Barcelona.

To ease traffic flow, the Bus-VAO lane was opened to all vehicles except lorries. Authorities continued to monitor the situation and advised drivers to use alternative routes where possible. For ongoing local updates, see our news coverage.
