Drivers travelling through central Manresa will need to follow new traffic directions in six streets from Monday, 3 August, as Carrer d'Àngel Guimerà is converted into a pedestrian area. The changes affect routes around the commercial street and are intended to adapt mobility once Guimerà and a section of Carrer de Sant Joan Baptista de la Salle are pedestrianised.

Nació Digital reported that the reorganisation will remain in place until the urbanisation works are completed at the end of 2026.

Six streets included in the new traffic layout

The changes apply to the following streets and road section:

  • Carrer de Sant Joan Baptista de la Salle
  • Carrer del Bonsuccés
  • Carrer de Puigterrà de Baix
  • Carrer dels Infants
  • Carrer de Canyelles
  • A side carriageway of Passeig de Pere III

The main alteration is on Carrer de Sant Joan Baptista de la Salle, which will run downhill between Carretera de Vic and Carrer del Bonsuccés. Carrer del Bonsuccés will reverse direction and run uphill towards Carrer de l'Era del Firmat.

How drivers can check traffic changes

Motorists using the Guimerà, Carretera de Vic and Passeig de Pere III area should check signs on site before setting off from Monday, 3 August. Ajuntament de Manresa, the city council, publishes road disruptions on its traffic incidents page.
