Barcelona province is hosting a wide run of Jaume Claret Muxart's debut feature, Estrany Riu, which will screen in 67 municipalities this June as part of Cicle Gaudí, the Catalan Film Academy's touring programme, with support from the Diputació de Barcelona.
The film is an intimate drama about first love and adolescent sexual awakening. It follows Dídac, a sixteen-year-old boy on a family holiday cycling along the Danube river, whose meeting with a mysterious boy changes him and affects his relationship with his family.
