Central Catalonia has a busy weekend agenda from 29 to 31 May, with film, music, fairs and traditional celebrations taking place in towns across the region. The programme includes gastronomic fairs, craft markets, concerts and family activities, according to Regió 7.

In Calaf, the 15th edition of the Mostra de Cinema Jove, or Youth Film Festival, will focus on cinema made by and for young people. The event includes screenings of independent short and feature films over the weekend, along with debates with directors and actors after the screenings.

Manresa will hold its traditional Fira de Sant Joan, with the city centre filled with stalls selling crafts, local produce and food. The fair will also include musical performances, children's workshops and other cultural activities.

Berga will host La Patum, its main festival and an event recognised by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The celebration combines dances, music and fire, with local groups and the wider community taking part.

Vic will stage a new edition of the Mercat de Música Viva, one of Catalonia's most important music festivals. Over three days, the city will host concerts by emerging and established artists across different musical styles.

Solsona will hold the Jornades Gastronòmiques del Corder, with participating restaurants serving dishes made with local lamb. The programme also includes cooking workshops and farmers' markets.
