Endesa has finished installing a new underground power line in Coll de Nargó, a key project to improve the continuity and quality of electricity supply in the Alt Urgell and Pallars Jussà regions of Catalonia.
The work involved establishing a new electrical ring, according to company officials. This upgrade is particularly important for residents in these areas, which include forested and snowy environments, ensuring more reliable power.
Enhancing Regional Power Grid
The installation of the new line is part of Endesa's ongoing efforts to reinforce the electrical infrastructure across Catalonia. The company regularly carries out maintenance and upgrades to minimise outages and improve service for its customers.
Future plans for Endesa in the region include further modernisation of existing lines and substations. These efforts aim to prepare the grid for increasing demand and improve resilience against adverse weather conditions, which can often affect mountainous areas like Alt Urgell and Pallars Jussà.
