Figueres hosted a public presentation by pupils from ZER Empordà schools on 20 May 2026, when they brought their project, Origen. Un viatge a la pell de tot el que som, to Teatre Municipal El Jardí.
The year-long project involved children from Cistella, Garrigàs, Palau de Santa Eulàlia, Pont de Molins and Vilanant. It focused on the origins of the Empordà region and its connection to the sea.
According to L'Empordà, the performance was attended by hundreds of local residents and family members. The event gave pupils a public stage to share what they had learned over the academic year.
The schools used an artistic format to present the work, combining local history, geography and creative expression. The approach moved the learning beyond the classroom and into a community setting in Figueres.
