Reus has launched El Tomb de Reus’s summer campaign, with city council support, to support local commerce and bring more activity into the city’s streets and neighbourhoods. The campaign, called L’estiu passa aquí, was presented on 10 June.
Noemí Llauradó, City Projection Councillor, and Víctor Perales, president of El Tomb de Reus, presented the programme with other members of the commercial group. The first activity is the Pere and Coia Scavenger Hunt, which runs from 12 to 30 June in associated shops.
Participants will look for characters in shop windows, scan QR codes and complete the route for a chance to win four tickets to PortAventura. The campaign also includes family activities and popular culture, with the aim of supporting businesses and drawing people into the centre.
A new feature this year is the extension of activities to different neighbourhoods. On 19 June, a snack event will take place in the Mare Molas and Passeig Prim area, with coca and chocolate provided through Forn Huguet’s collaboration. That event will also mark the launch of a collectible album for the Sant Pere festival.
From 19 to 29 June, participating shops will hand out stickers featuring the festive procession and the Reus Festa Major. The summer sales begin on 1 July and run until 31 August. El Tomb de Reus says this is one of the most important commercial periods of the year.
From 1 to 12 August, the group will also run a special promotion linked to interest in the solar eclipse, called La Llum de Reus, que mai s’amaga. Customers who spend at least €25 in associated shops will receive a voucher for an exclusive cocktail created for the occasion. After the summer, the programme will continue with another Pere and Coia Scavenger Hunt focused on the Festa Major de Misericòrdia, plus new collectible albums on that festival and on Reus gastronomy.
