Firefighters from the Generalitat are maintaining 16 ground units and aerial support to extinguish a vegetation fire in Cervià de les Garrigues, Lleida. The blaze, which started on Sunday, 14 June, was declared stabilised at 7pm that day.
The fire, reported at 2:47pm, has affected at least 33 hectares, according to provisional data from the Rural Agents. Eight residents were evacuated as a precaution, and 144 residents in the Partida de la Devesa area were ordered to confine themselves indoors via an Es-Alert message from Civil Protection around 5pm. They were told to close doors and windows and stay off the streets.
Confinement Orders Lifted
Shortly before 8pm, another message was sent to lift the confinement order for residents in the affected 260-hectare zone. The focus now is on ensuring the fire is fully extinguished and preventing any reignition.
In other incidents, three fire units remain at the Sanaüja fire, which is controlled, and the Ponts fire, which is stabilised, to dampen the areas and prevent further spread. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to manage multiple vegetation fires across the region.
