Young people across Catalonia can apply for the Youth Rental Voucher (Bo Lloguer Jove) scheme, offering €250 monthly support for two years. Applications opened on Monday, 19 May, and close promptly at 2pm on Friday, 23 May, according to the Catalan Housing Agency. The subsidy aims to assist young adults aged 18 to 35 with limited financial resources who are renting a flat or room. Applications are processed electronically via the Catalan Housing Agency website, although municipal housing offices also offer assistance. Submissions are handled in order of registration, provided all documentation is complete, and continue until available funding is exhausted. To qualify for the Youth Rental Voucher, applicants must be legal residents of Catalonia and have their habitual and permanent home there. They must hold a rental contract for a flat, a room, or a cession of use, and be registered on the municipal census at that address. The scheme also extends to young people who are in a position to sign such a contract. ## Income and Rental Price Limits Applicants need to demonstrate regular employment income not exceeding €25,200 annually. The voucher can be requested for either a shared room or an entire property. The total amount of aid received cannot exceed the actual rental price or cession fee. Renting from a family member disqualifies applicants from receiving the subsidy. Maximum rental prices for eligibility vary by region across Catalonia:
* Barcelona metropolitan area (Baix Llobregat, Barcelonès, Garraf, Maresme, Vallès Occidental, Vallès Oriental): €900 for a flat, €450 for a room.
* Rest of Barcelona province: €650 for a flat, €350 for a room.
* Girona province: €750 for a flat, €400 for a room.
* Tarragona province: €700 for a flat, €350 for a room.
* Lleida province: €600 for a flat, €300 for a room.
* Terres de l'Ebre: €600 for a flat, €300 for a room. All previous rent payments must be up to date and properly accredited to receive the subsidy. Young people interested in the scheme are advised to submit their applications promptly due to the short window and first-come, first-served processing.
