In Cadaqués, Galician musician Carlos Núñez will open the winery concert programme for the Sons del Món festival in Empordà. He will perform on 11 August at the Martín Faixó winery, joined by Bleuenn Le Friec on harp and María Sánchez on violin and vocals.
The Cadaqués date is the first of four small-format concerts and shows planned at Empordà wineries. The other acts are Manu Guix at the Massís de l’Albera winery in Garriguella on 13 August, Quim Masferrer at La Vinyeta winery in Mollet de Peralada on 15 August, and Roger Mas at Vinyes dels Aspres winery on 21 August.
The four names were announced on Wednesday morning during the official presentation at the festival's main stage, the Ciutadella de Roses. The festival also said Pablo Alborán will open the new edition there on 25 July, in what it described as his only summer concert in Catalonia and part of his news coverage on the site.
Sons del Món continues to place its programme across the Alt Empordà, with concerts split between Roses and several wineries in the area. More festival updates can be followed through the site’s news tag.
