Two people were injured in Cassà de la Selva, Girona, on Thursday morning after a car left the C-65 and hit a tree. The crash happened at around 11am near kilometre 21.7 of the road, heading towards Girona.
Emergency services were called to the scene, including the Mossos d'Esquadra traffic police, the Medical Emergency System (SEM) and the Generalitat Firefighters. According to Diari de Girona, the vehicle veered off the road for reasons that are still under investigation.
The driver and a passenger were trapped inside the car after the impact. Firefighters carried out extrication work to free both occupants.
Officials said both people were injured, but the SEM has not yet released details on their condition. Emergency teams remained at the scene to attend to the injured and make the road safe.
