The Cap Roig Festival, held in Calella de Palafrugell, Girona, will donate a portion of its concert revenue to three social causes in the region. This initiative, called Cap Roig Solidari, is promoted by CaixaBank and Grup Clipper's, and will benefit Fundació Privada Oreig, Viu Autisme, and Centre El Puig this year.
Beyond the festival concerts, CaixaBank will also collect donations for these causes through its branch network, website, and other digital channels. This joint effort aims to strengthen support for projects that improve the quality of life for vulnerable individuals and promote their social inclusion, according to organisers.
Supporting Child Development and Autism Inclusion
Fundació Privada Oreig focuses on the care and prevention of childhood developmental disorders, fostering family, educational, and social environments that help children grow. The funds raised by Cap Roig Solidari will go towards purchasing psychometric diagnostic tests. These tests will allow the foundation to create better individualised therapeutic plans for children.
Viu Autisme, an association, drives initiatives to promote inclusion and equal opportunities for people with autism spectrum disorder. The money collected will support its 'Respir' project, a temporary support service offering specialised care and respite for families. This service helps improve the well-being and quality of life for families caring for individuals with autism.
Enhancing Mobility for Adults with Disabilities
Centre El Puig, an organisation under the Pla de l'Estany Regional Council, supports adults with intellectual disabilities and other special needs. The Cap Roig Solidari initiative will finance a new adapted vehicle for the centre. This vehicle will help improve mobility, autonomy, and inclusion for the centre's users.
The Cap Roig Festival's commitment to these local charities highlights a broader effort to connect cultural events with community support. The fundraising campaign will continue throughout the festival period and through CaixaBank's various channels, with organisers hoping to make a significant impact on the selected projects.
